"D" is for Dummy

Listening to my local AM radio today, I was struck by a caller into Rush's show who has a son in Iraq. He asked, "Why isn't there more outrage?" about Harry Reid's typical comments about the war. (I say typical because I expect nothing else from this poor excuse for an elected official of the US Government.) Rush opined that the lack of outrage was because the "drive-by media" didn't think it to be newsworthy, and I believe he's right. Calls for cutting and running are rampant by those in the media and Democrats in Congress. Obviously, it no longer merits news coverage. I AM outraged; not just by his comments but by disregarding pertinent news for the bloodbath of the day, whether it's the tragedy at Virginia Tech or a homicide bomber in Baghdad. I'm not suggesting that the media not devote time to tragedies but how about coverage commensurate with importance? We have seen the media in a saliva-covered frenzy over Anna Nicole's death and subsequent child paternity issues. Granted, its bad that she died, but it won't affect US foreign policy, unless fewer US citizens visit the Bahamas or Seminole casinos because of it. You would expect such comments out of Cindy Sheehan or Sean Penn, but not an elected US Senator and Majority Leader. It is without a doubt giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Saying that America has already lost the war, and that any further effort on our part is futile, tells our enemy, along with a guaranteed redeployment date, that all they have to do is wait until November of 2008 regardless.

John McCain is paying for his now stalwart stance in backing up the President's policy regarding the Iraq war, when he should be lauded. It seems that this once, Republican in name only has come back to the fold, and I welcome him. We need more warriors and less wimps in this all important war on our way of life. We need stronger backbones not limp wrists. We need the Red, White and Blue flag, not the white alone. Our men and women in theater know this and are dismayed and undermined by Harry's speech and others like him. This is NOT the time when we should be tearing down those that would protect us. I liken this to Dick Durbin who said that American interrogators at Guantanamo were like Nazis. What is accomplished by rhetoric like this, other than tearing down the US warriors in the field? Political points scored for the excuse of a good sound bite do more damage than they know, or maybe they know exactly how much damage is done and are doing it because or in spite of it. I suggest Harry Reid go to Iraq and tell those men and women to their faces that they are fighting a lost cause and have in fact already lost the war. The term "Fragged" suddenly comes to mind: a term John Kerry should be familiar with.

Stuff you should know

You would think that someone so supposedly concerned with our troops and our overseas presence would want all the information he or she could garner concerning those assets. Mrs. Pelosi's snubbing of Gen. Petraus' briefing, will be seen by the far left as just desserts for a Bush crony, while the rest of the world will know it for what it is....sour grapes, and an unwillingness to deal with the real issues on the ground in the Middle East. Her recent trip to Damascus, not withstanding; for that is another means of manipulation for another time (see previous post). Here is another example of the Democrat Speaker of the House ignoring national security interests for political gain....again! Her actions continue to score points with a constituency ever more shrill and unbalanced. Those who would be influenced by international powerhouses and mental masters of political affairs like Sean Penn, Michael Moore, and Susan Sarandon, somehow always seem to be close to the camera and microphone. I wish my hand were on the plug so I could pull it when they start.
Harry Reid. What can be said about Harry that hasn't already been said more eloquently by others? Nothing much, but perhaps it's time for a not so eloquent enumeration of his major flaw: He's anti-American. Period. How else could you describe the Senate Majority Leader speaking for the MAJORITY, telling our enemies not to worry, because "we are losing the war"? He's not just telling our enemies but our allies and our troops. Granted, our enemies and our "allies" (emphasis added) need no such encouragement, for our allies are besieged by liberals within their own government and their own media dogs.
Compulsory military training would do away with the privileged existence of most of the liberal Democrat party. It would instill in them the necessary knowledge and experience to intelligently speak on subjects as elected leaders tasked with the lawful requirement to wage war. We who have served know that there are those that have slid by and have just "gotten along" in the military, though they are few, they usually get out after one hitch anyway. The numbers who would slide by would be exponentially smaller when boiled down in the political pot from which we select our leaders.
The removal of our troops from this conflict before the job is done will be catastrophic will resonate globally. It will embolden the Islamofacists, whether they are American, Arabic, Indonesian, African or European. It will have such a devastating effect on the morale of our troops, which we would be unlikely to recover from. Incidentally, it is markedly high now, considering the number of attacks they receive from the enemies in Iraq, within the US government and media. It will undermine our national credibility in doing what we promised by bringing democracy to a part of the world desperately in need of fair government. Our nearness to Iran is another reason why we should retain a presence there. While Ahmedinajad is pursuing his nuclear ambitions, contrary to every civilized nation in the world, closer is better than farther.
When Israel finally decides that it’s had enough meddling by Iranian-sponsored Hezbollah and Hamas and bombs Iran back to the Stone Age after years of restraint, we will need those troops in place. The United States, Israel's only ally, will need to be close by to keep the hordes from descending. Our "new sheriff in town" Pelosi and her brood don't seem to understand this. Even Syria understands this, that's why it is making such an effort in bamboozling Pelosi. Saudi Arabia and their royal court mostly understand this, and are working behind the scenes because Iran's Shiite Islamic caliphate is not in their interests; though there are those within the Saudi government who are financing terrorism and Qutbist as well as Wahabbi style mosques. They, with fanatical smiles, would gladly bring about Armageddon. We should address directly those in other countries and Saudi Arabia proper, who are spreading hate and fomenting conflict throughout the world. Since they are operating with mosques in our country we should demand to operate churches in theirs. Though Christians who would readily go there as missionaries may be hard to come by, I know they exist. Nowhere is there a more hostile environment for religious differences than in countries that are predominantly Islamic.

Pelosi In Syria

Nancy Pelosi and Ted Kennedy are both guilty of trying to undermine a sitting President. Kennedy while Regan was in office went to Moscow to try and bolster his (Kennedy's) support with the Russians and further his anti Republican agenda by advising them that the Regan administration was only temporary and that the pesky "Star Wars" spending spree was only a phase. They could out wait it. Thanks to Ronald Regan sticking to his guns, they not only didn't out wait it, they fell under the economic pressure and the Communist regime of the USSR was no more. Much to Teddy's chagrin.
Pelosi on the other hand went to Syria to tell Bashar Assad that Israel and the US were ready to restart the peace process even though Hezbollah and Hamas were still being supplied arms by Syria and Iran. A precondition to resuming of peace talks with Israel i.e..that Syria renounce terrorism and quit supplying terrorist organizations and recognize Israeli s right to exist as a nation. She spoke half truths and outright lies, in saying that Israel was ready to resume the peace talks, and in the process undermined President Bush s dictum to not deal with State sponsors of terror until they renounce said sponsorship.
I have to ask the question. What does Speaker Pelosi think she is doing? Where do her loyalties lie? With the Democrat party and nowhere else. I seriously doubt that she is even loyal to Americans. Hiding behind our fear to not call Democrats on their patriotism can no longer be tolerated. Her trip to the Middle East was ill conceived in that she went on the pretense of diplomacy when she had no mandate and no plan to do it. She does not speak for the United States on any level other than to represent her Democrat underlings. She didn't speak to or retain anything from the primary players (i.e. Israel, and Iran). While she got the standard State Department briefing "wear hijab, walk 10 paces behind men, do not shake hands with men". There must've been no other prep..
Assad sat back and nodded knowingly because he knows he and his Secret Police are complicit in the assassination of Lebanese PM Rafik Hariri. She went with her own agenda and walked away with the satisfaction of thinking that she has taken a first step on the road to a great diplomatic career. The trip was a throw away. A non-trip. A boondoggle. She went with no other intention than to appear as a player on the international stage. She has no qualifications for the job, nor does she have the demeanor.
Placing herself in the role of subjugated female, Pelosi in the presence of President Assad by wearing a hijab, she not only denied her mission, she denied her country. I understand the need for assuming the attire and customs of a people being visited (i.e. shaking hands with the right hand because the left is unclean, not showing the soles of your feet for fear of insult). But Speaker Pelosi went to Syria with the supposed mission of representing the United States of America. And I m not sure but I doubt that she wears a hijab in the Senate building. Maybe she should wear one all the time so that we would know where her loyalties lie.
Syria is a major source for infiltration of foreign fighters across the borders into Iraq and most probably the destination for Saddam Hussein s weapons of mass destruction stockpiles. Does anybody remember over a hundred flights from Baghdad to Syria using Iranian aircraft with no manifests and no passengers? Did Speaker Pelosi speak to President Assad about these issues? The answer is decidedly no . She went there for her own glorification and no other reason other than to undermine a sitting President which she and her party abhor.

12 Minutes of Eye Opening Video

If you do nothing else today, educate yourself for the safety of your family and country. Watch this video. They are telling us what they are going to do. And I for one believe they will do it given a chance. It's up to you and me to stop them. We certainly can't rely on the appeasement policy of the EU or the UN nor the hand wringing of the majority party.

Dems take the helm

I've wondered why I haven't felt like writing recently. Since the Democrats “won” this November I have to admit to being disheartened. It’s not apathy. It’s the shock. The shock of someone being told they have terminal cancer and there is nothing they can do about it. I choose to fight this cancer holistically, starting with myself and my beliefs. And do what I can to talk truth to anyone who will listen.

The greatest threat we face today is apathy toward our nation and her defense. A kind of rot from inside, where we believe we as Americans are wrong for breathing and guilty for our prosperity. We are what we are because of what we and our forefathers have believed. Sic God is the Creator to whom we are responsible, Jesus was His Son made flesh to die for our sins. There is but one way to get to heaven, but you get to choose….Heaven or Hell. Christians are good and have your soul in mind, and I will not apologize for it. Though the media and Hollywood would have you believe different.

At the same time, I am wondering where the Americans are. Where are the people who came here to survive tyranny or persecution and fight for what they believe? Where is the spirit of Sir Walter Raleigh “Work or Starve”, or Teddy Roosevelt’s “America for Americans”. Where are the people who believe God, Country and Family? That abortion on demand is wrong, and that you should own a gun to protect your family, yourself and community, form a ready militia when disasters like Katrina and our recent tornadoes occur, or at least not stand in my way when I want to.

I believe some Americans are silent by order of law, those in the military would have a lot to say if there wasn’t a prohibition on speaking out. Where are the people who crave freedom enough to work for it? They apparently don’t live here anymore, or they are silent. I choose to believe the latter, or else my bags would be packed for somewhere else.

We’ve elected people who want to take the lives of children, take away your right to protect yourself and your family, tax you and give your money to those who won’t work for it. We’ve elected people who are deferring an imminent treat, that of militant Islam and those that would threaten us here at home and abroad.

I’m all for helping people who can no longer help themselves. I’m one of them… a disabled vet. But, I don’t like taking money that I haven’t earned. I may be entitled to it but, I can see no other way around it, for the sake of my family. To be trite, a hand up is not a hand out.

The Democrats and their “vote for us and we'll continue the dole” mentality, the mentality of Americans and immigrants who have both hands extended for freebies but won't dig themselves out of a hole without “government” help.

I have the sneaking suspicion that the Democrats are complicit in the decline of everything I hold dear; namely, my family, my country and countrymen, my God, and the office of the President which they view with rancor and disdain. I have been watching the Democrats take office with the same dread as I've been watching viral videos of cars sliding inexorably downhill on ice towards other cars and pedestrians, with audio of a woman saying “I have three children in my car” as she watches SUV’s careen into piles of crushed metal.

Do we think the main threat to America is a President who wants to protect his nation? The Democrats would have you think so. They would have you believe that a terror fighting tactic of listening to terrorists phone calls is “domestic surveillance”…..WHAT? They are Terrorists calling Terrorists for God’s sake. Not my Aunt Sally exchanging recipes with my Mom. They are listening in to protect us, not to entrap us. The NY Times needs to close shop and stick to printing the Daily Shopper. Pelosi, Schumer, Reed, Levin and Rangel would have us believe that they've accomplished enough bills in “the first 100 hours” to justify the American people’s faith shown by electing them. They've done nothing, and God help us when they do. They've indicated that they would not confirm John Bolton in his post at the UN; where he’s done the most good of any UN Ambassador since Jean Kirkpatrick.

  • Iran is more in need of evangelism than any nation on earth. But just try to get a Bible across the border, same way with our friends Saudi Arabia.

  • Palestine was an area of desert inhabited by nomads. When Israel became a nation Arabs from Jordan, Syria, and surrounding countries came to Israel for work, then magically became Palestinians.

  • Benjamin Netanyahu has an excellent grasp on the situation in Israel. Enemies on all sides, eroding support from America, no support from the UN at all, since countries such as Indonesia and Qatar have seats on the Security Council.

  • Burgeoning fuel hungry China and cash poor Russia are out for their own good not the good of the world.

  • North Korea’s dictatorship will not last much longer, someone will kill off Kim Jong Il, as will be the case of newly elected Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.
In our endeavors to be all inclusive and politically correct we have allowed the enemy to come within our borders, if they weren't born here. The UK is having horrible homegrown terrorist problems as we have had, ala Timothy McVeigh. Great Britain would do well to remember who they are or better, who they were. World War II made most Britons realize their identity and loyalty, but in the 50 years since, they have lost it to a liberal agenda. In our magnanimous attempt to include everyone under the umbrella of our democracy and prosperity, we, (by "we" I mean the Western world) have spoilt the soup. We don't need an external enemy to destroy us, they are already among us.

Just a quick thought

Fox News posted a web questionnaire. Posing, "would you be willing to pay as much as $5 for a gallon of gas to stop buying oil from Venezuela's Hugo Chavez?"
My answer is a simple no. I would however support the nation in any effort to wipe is Communist ass out. It would be far cheaper to spend the 94¢ for 160 grains to blow his brains into his stuffed ballot box.

Newt Gingrich attacked by MSN Weenie

Special comment: Free speech, failed speakers and the delusion of grandeur - Countdown with Keith Olberman

The following was sent to Keith Olberman of MSNBC News and posted on the shows blog. Bet you don't see it.

You know what Keith, Newt is right. The curtailment of the First Amendment should start with you. It's you who has a "delusion of grandeur". If Hitler had been shut up, those millions of hands shooting up in the Nazi salute would have been turned to work Germany out of its depression, and not murdering millions of people. You're damn right we ought to know if someone in a back room at a mosque, church, shool, or news outlet is fomenting terror. I want to know if someone is brewing anthrax or eboli for release in the US. You don't? Of course, you can prattle on in your self-righteousness decrying the abuse of the First Amendment while you are watching tens of thousands of Americans die or are coughing up blood yourself. Of the last....O' would that it twere.

Googlemania

About the Google behemoth.....I don't understand...but I guess I'm not surprised. These leeches that oversee Google nauseate me. They are a huge money making business and I'll grant they have a good idea, but the execution of it leaves much to be desired. They are based here in America, and I assume, (but I have no facts to back this up) that there are Americans employed there. I can only assume because they are so close-mouthed about what they do and why they do it. They censored searches for Chinese Google sites to eradicate any mention of seditious material according to the ROC government, such as Democracy US Constitution, Republic, and people such as Thomas Paine and Ronald Regan. They also censor anyone who doesn't agree with their worldview, which according to list of prohibited material they are: Christians Conservatism, Tom Delay, sites promoting an anti gay agenda and any book criticizing Billary Clinton or their administration. The folks at Google dispense largess to any liberal cause or politician. They don't seem to understand that the very substance of their business is vitally dependent on the free exchange of information. They are or already have altered the very way people search for News; which is censorship as well. They are becoming the "internet" police in regard to politics and apparently morality, in that they refuse to publish Christian advertising but fall all over themselves to promote pornography. They block, refuse to publish or disallow access to their advertising because of religious differences (they DO realize they are living in America right?)
Well, maybe. I think they are thinking globally and don't want to offend anyone on the left. When I say "left" I mean, liberal, democrat, gay friendly, anti-family, anti-Christian, anti-self protection, anti-military, pro UN, pro abortion. I'm pretty sure this accurately pigeonholes the executives, if not the worker bees at Google.com. I know how much they hate labels but they own these.
The liberties which they flout in China are the same liberties which they take for granted here at home. They are the online version of the Main Stream Media bias that we all know exists, and I doubt seriously that we can do anything about them because they are as ubiquitous as a yeast infection. If I sound angry about this it's because I am. The whole engine that runs liberalism in this country is oiled by money from Google, Soros, Moveon.org, People for the American Way, and the ACLU. I want to be the one standing by this engine throwing shovelfuls of sand in the gears. The agenda is wrong for America and Americans, the thinking is wrongheaded because it stifles discussion, is anti-life and anti-freedom, even though I'm sure if you ask them they'll tell you "Nooo we LOVE freedom". Because its from this very freedom they suck their sustenance.
By definition a parasite is: “An organism that grows, feeds, and is sheltered on or in a different organism while contributing nothing to the survival of its host. Usually harmful to the host. One who habitually takes advantage of the generosity of others without making any useful return.” (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/parasite)
This adequately describes Google and their relationship to most of America. Gee, I hope I don't anger the Google gods.

Convert to Islam

Prison imams, chaplains or counselors take the disenfranchised, mostly poor, and mostly black and empower them with discipline and a god that considers everything but obedience a sin or affront to Allah. To allow them access to our prisoners and military (not to put them on the same level) is to let the fox in the hen house, or rather a virus loose in a host. CAIR (Council on American Islamic
Relations), MSA (Muslim Students Association), and ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) do more to harm relations with the US Government than the average mosque members, because they get their marching orders and funds from Wahhabi Saudi Arabia. Much like the Soviet Union finances the Communist party in America, and did so covertly in the late 40's through the late 80's and now does so openly, the Wahhabist Saudis fund an underground covert effort to sway our government and it's people by lies; using our own democracy and judicial system against us. The firing of a cadre of radio hosts who have enough chutzpah to tell it the way they see it are pounced on by CAIR demanding that they fire the offending host(s). The US government has even gone to them for advice on how to handle issues regarding treatment of prisoners and detainees. Our State Department asks for advice on how to approach and handle foreign Islamic governments. Consider asking Hitler how to treat his Gestapo or SS while in POW camps. Notice I do not say the common German infantry man, because the Islamofascists that we are in contact with are more than just foot soldiers who can be counted on to act honorably in time of war. Honor means nothing to the enemy we face. They are a special breed of maniac, where the self immolation of the Buddist monk in the 60's is a trifle. They must not only kill themselves in the twisted jihad espoused by the Wahhabi imams, but take as many infidels as possible to the greater glory of Allah. It's high time we stopped pissing around with these people. If you believe the Islamic radicals can be reasoned with I suggest you go and reason with them, then after your family back home receives your head in a box, maybe you'll believe the only way to deal with them is to eradicate them. I just hope there are enough of us left by then to defend you.

Compassionate Conservatism

Compassionate Conservatism
There is a hard one to wrap your mind around. How does one remain compassionate when one is constantly being taken advantage of? Good will is a precept of our nation and Constitution: “Good will towards all people”, but when is enough, enough? When do you say alright, you've taken advantage of me long enough, you can no longer use our resources as yours, nor take our land for yours, nor use our schools for yours, nor use our national anthem (in English) for yours. Who could conceive of America’s National Anthem being sung in Spanish as is done now? Granted, I applaud the attempt to be patriotic and sing America’s song, but the way it was intended. In English!
Do you give until you're bankrupt (as Democrats would have you do), or put limits on spending for illegal immigrants, who by very definition are illegal, extralegal or criminal. We would much prefer an immigrant population that would not walk all over our laws and prohibitions, our way of life and our constitution. For our nation’s security, business as usual on immigration can no longer be allowed. The status quo is suicide. If it takes armed force at the borders or an Israeli style wall, then so be it. We are no longer in the position to allow free access to our bounty by just anyone; they now have to be vetted and scrutinized. The rabble to snub their noses at out concerns with amazing selfishness. We no longer have the luxury of allowing our borders to be as porous as Howard Dean's head; we must do more to staunch the leaking of both, though I believe Dean is a lost cause.
The edict or motto I try to live by is “help my fellow human beings” daily. How do I help them when I can't be sure they won't kill me or my family, take money out of my family's pockets or rob my grandchildren of their birthright? When my moral obligation to help my fellow man collides with my moral obligation to be there and protect my family I can tell you what will always win out. While I'm not unfeeling for the angst and poverty pangs of our neighbors on our Southern border, I know there are better answers than to let them run all over our nation further straining our already strained resources to help our poor and disadvantaged people. i.e. all hurricane victims, tornado victims, flood victims, veterans and their families.
The pursuit of the American dream needs to become the Mexican dream, or the Honduran dream or the (your country here) dream. With all these hands clamoring for a piece of a pie they had no hand in creating, there will be none left for our nation.

Goethe said: “There is nothing worse than aggressive stupidity”

If we can’t stop the stupidity with education then we must stop the aggressiveness with action.

The best course is to do both.

The Difference Between Leeches and Citizens.

To differentiate between illegal immigrants receiving assistance and those regularly receiving welfare is disingenuous. The difference is minimal. Since there are so many people sucking off the government tit, the distinction is mostly moot. Those who come to America looking for welfare, Medicaid, or free monolingual (Spanish) education. This IS about Civil Rights, but those rights do not extend to illegal aliens. They are for the citizens of this nation.

To come to America and demand rights that belong to Americans, naturalized citizens, or those of legal status in the U.S. is ludicrous. By the very definition of the words “Illegal Immigrant”, they are without rights and as such should be deported. I don’t know what all the hubbub is about. I exuberantly welcome anyone who is willing to embrace the United States of America and go through the procedures set forth by the government. But those who are here only to take advantage of our benefits, such as: Medicare, Welfare, SSI, and unemployment, need to be shown the door, and expeditiously.

The fact that the Democrats are trying to get illegal’s to vote is abhorrent, because as the word “illegal” indicates to vote for them would be…..illegal. The same as ballot stuffing. Or paying for votes. All of which are illegal, just like their constituents.

Immigration....Legal and Otherwise

I’ve tried to examine how I feel about illegal immigration, but I can’t get past the word “illegal” in the description. I have nothing against immigrants or immigration or foreigners, guest workers or green card holders for that matter. I do however have a problem with those who enter our country and cross our borders illegally. This means those on forged documents, no documents, wet backs, train riders or those smuggled in, in trunks of cars without entry verification by INS/Homeland Security. The mass demonstrations are impressive, if only for what they aren’t. They aren’t demonstrations by legal immigrants who are probably working or going to school during the events. I think that if all those people who have time to attend these massive demonstrations are all illegal then there needs to be busses there to send them back to Mexico, or El Salvador, or Nicaragua, or Panama.

I’m beginning to believe that the only real solution to this problem is to get Mexico economically solvent. That means cleaning up the bureaucracy and corruption that is rampant all over Mexico and especially near the borders. If Vicente Fox isn’t dirty then he has contact with hundreds of corrupt officials underneath him and needs to clean house. Notice I said “If” he isn’t dirty. I can’t believe that he isn’t. The Mexican Army has been caught making incursions into California and Texas and reconnoitering for drug and/or people smugglers. Any commander in chief (both Mexican and US), who allows this to go on without some heads rolling, is blind, impotent or complicit. None of which makes for a good leader.

NAFTA was supposed to make for a better economic situation for Mexico and help stem the tide of illegal immigrants flowing across our Southern borders. It hasn’t. What the effect has been is to line the pockets of wealthy factory owners with none of the trickle down economics that we’re used to in El Norte as was intended, when the law was written. This also means sending jobs to Mexico that were being done by Americans (represented by Unions). Manufacturers aren’t stupid; they will send the work where it can be done the cheapest. And Mexico among others, is that place. If goods manufactured out of the country had taxes or tariffs placed on them that made competitive the prices of goods produced in America, then the advantage would be gone. And the hemorrhaging of US jobs would halt.

***UPDATE***

Most of the jobs and factories in Mexico have since left the continent and moved to China, where labor is even cheaper (if you can believe it).

Bottom line, if it’s illegal, stop it, by enforcement, physical barrier, economic help or sanctions. Or in lieu of any action, legalize it and move on. Do away with the border completely and call it Amexico or Mexarica.

The Democrats have killed any legislation directed at fixing this problem because they see it as a lever for the 08 election cycle. They can then claim the high ground by pointing out the bad old Republicans want to send the illegal immigrants home. We welcome the “legal immigrant” and shun the “illegal immigrant”. This distinction makes all the difference in the world….to Americans.

McKinney needs to go

The fact that McKinney wasn't pistol-whipped amazes me. Anyone running past a security checkpoint without the proper credentials and ignoring security's instructions should justify the use of unrestrained force. This kind of behavior in the post 9-11 environment is not only dangerous, but fool hardy. In a high value target area like the House Office Building, security is nothing to be scoffed at. How is security supposed to know that this person wasn’t a terrorist trying to get as close to the chambers as possible before detonating his or her vest of Semtex?” Now it's become a racial profiling issue with Danny Glover and Harry Belafonte. The people of Ms. McKinney’s district need to think about removing her next election cycle. I guarantee that if I struck a Capitol Security policeman, in addition to looking for my teeth on the ground, I would definitely be charged with assaulting a policeman in the commission of his/her duties, and rightly so. Any other action would be prejudicial and preferential (expecting different treatment because of position or color or rank in the house). Members of Congress already get this treatment because of the Congressional badge required to be worn and needed to bypass security, which this member failed to display. I also guarantee that if any other treatment by Rep McKinney had occurred, his or her supervisor would have assuredly been first in line to try and have his job for failure to do his duty and stop an unauthorized entry into a controlled area. I applaud the officer’s willingness to do his underappreciated job, even when self-important members of Congress pass through their jurisdiction. I assert that if she was late for her meeting, it is not security's fault. The only cause I can think of that justifies her reacting with violence to someone doing his job, is that she may be mentally unbalanced, not because of perceived racial profiling or prejudicial treatment. The claim that is racially motivated is what is most egregious. It is exactly what all her type claim when they are caught doing something wrong. All the usual suspects sound off in defense of the perceived wrong. What this congresswoman needs to do is go directly to the police officer and ask his forgiveness for hitting him during the execution of his job and then throw herself on the mercy of the courts, whom by all rights, should prosecute her to the fullest extent of the law. I wonder if the security officer (by name, Officer Mc Kenna) was white....makes you go, hmmmm. Could be racism alright.

President Needs to Change His Delivery

President Bush has been under the delusion that telling the truth and letting the truth speak for itself is sufficient to let people know his stance on issues. It’s abominable that he feels that he has to justify his actions that were previously accepted by the “majority” of the country. The fact that his integrity, faith, and sincerity have constantly been bombarded by liberals has made him wary. When a President of this caliber says something, it should stand on its own merits; unlike when Clinton "did not have sex with that woman" or didn't understand the meaning of the word "is". I kept looking in the background to see who had his hand in the puppet. This President has more integrity in his little finger than the White House had in its entirety for 8 years of Clinton's reign.

The Democrats, assail the truth with falsehoods and impugn the office and the person of the President at will. They do this armed with nothing but lies and vitriol. The malignancy of the souls of these people amazes me. In their book, right is wrong, good is bad, and righteousness is evil. They truly wouldn't know the facts if they were forced to eat them raw; which may not be a bad idea. Where the hell does the idea originate that our troops are bad and should not be believed over Al Qaeda, and Iraqi insurgents. You know the answer to that, “only in the minds of the Democratic left". The belief that going to war with a despot who foments terror in his own people by killing them by the thousands is bad, only originates with the Democratic part and those on the left. The necessity to gain permission from the United Nations after numerous failures to act on something they never would have acted upon is something that is bereft of the liberals. How many times does a member nation have to thumb its nose at the authority of the UN, or lack thereof, before any action is taken? The US acted when no other nation had the stones to do it, and then stood back in disbelief at the cowboy US fighting their battles. France is reaping the benefits of their inaction now, with the internal strife at the hands of Muslim youth. Chirac, the spineless PM of France, can do nothing good in his own country, so he diverts attention from his own inaction and ridicules the US.

The fact that the President must reiterate his Security Plan for the US and Iraq, speaks volumes about the damage that the liberal Democrats are doing to faith in our government, our country, our troops and our very people. Most Americans don't see that they are being slighted by the left, simply because they aren’t expected to be able to make up their own minds. The roar of applause at the recent Home Town Meeting at which the President spoke, when the mother of a soldier in Iraq asked the question "When are we going to start getting the truth from the Main Stream Media", should send a shudder down the nonexistent spines of the likes of Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Teddy Kennedy. We've seen behind the Wizards curtain, and have seen who's operating the switches.

You need only reflect that one of the best ways to get yourself a reputation as a dangerous citizen these days is to go about repeating the very phrases which our founding fathers used in the struggle for independence.

Teachers and Thier Charges

I'm convinced that when you see something wrong you speak out. The adage that "“All that is required for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing” fits. Below is a letter to Cherry Creek Colorado High School teacher Jay Bennish, sent with sincerity and belief that even people like him can change. I encourage you to email him at:

jbennish@cherrycreekschools.org

I suspect the school district's IT departments are a little miffed at him right now for crashing their servers with all the email he has generated.

Mr. Bennish, I wanted to be among the many to welcome you back to school and the profession that you love. While I approve of your profession please cease taking liberties with your students. I am a veteran and will forever defend your right to speak and dissent. But your right to coercion ends at the threshold to your classroom. While you may feel that our President is similar to Adolph Hitler, I can assure you from my experience that it is in no way similar or even in the same realm. There are obviously not enough good teachers in this country and it is becoming harder to attract well qualified and honorable people to the profession. And, it is my opinion that more needs to be done in compensation and protection for teachers who speak out. But know when and where to do so. You are free to say our troops are like Hitler’s SS troops, Stazi or the former Soviet Union’s GRU or KGB outside of school grounds. Not where you can influence the minds and hearts of the young adults put in your charge. Again I will defend your right to disagree and speak but in current events your role as a teacher should be to initiate and mediate discussion, and direct to a certain extent. But to influence the political leanings of your students does a dishonor to your profession by limiting thought and individualism. And not allowing other viewpoints. Imagine a student listening to a lecture by you espousing the similarities of Bush and Hitler. That student is then asked to write a paper on his thoughts…how free is that student to express views differing from yours, in reality and in the students mind? These are things to ponder as you resume your duties. Respectfully, Kenneth A. Jenkins, USAF Ret.

Late Thoughts on Coretta Scott King's Funeral

Regarding Coretta Scott King’s funeral, I have some not so Christian thoughts about that spectacle. Now that the anger has dissipated after watching the treatment of our President on so solemn an occasion, I start to wonder about the heart of the Democratic party and the Civil Rights leaders present there. While there is no doubt in my mind that President Bush went to the funeral to pay his heartfelt respects as leader of this nation and a man of God, to the spouse of our one of our country’s greatest civil rights leaders, the same is impossible to say of the other speakers and “mourners”. The main complaint is with former President Jimmy Carter race-baiting the crowd with the fact of hurricane Katrina victims being predominantly black. What a dupe. The fact that the people of New Orleans are mostly black would lead anyone with common sense to think that the majority of the victims are black. Proof that the Reverend Joseph Lowry is also cut from the same cloth as Jesse (who’s your daddy) Jackson = in using his preacher - speak drawing comparisons to one of President Bush’s justifications for going into Iraq, and FEMA’s failure to provide timely services.

Here’s the tangent: I don’t suppose it’s ever occurred to anyone that it’s impossible to prepare for people who won’t help themselves. We were bombarded with hurricanes here in Florida, left without power, living in uninhabitable homes. But when the authorities said “mandatory evacuation” we left, instead of hunkering down, expecting to be taken out by “The Government”. I won’t even get into how inadequate Mayor Nagin is as a leader and administrator nor the State government. But what I do know is that after the hurricanes we didn’t loot our neighbors or our neighbor’s businesses and I know you didn’t see it in Biloxi, Waveland, Long Beach, Gulfport, or Pass Christian, Mississippi. It speaks to the kind of people you have in those places. That is not a racist statement. There is a substantial population of blacks in coastal Mississippi, and they did not behave anything like their less well - bred brethren in New Orleans. Those in Metarie, Louisiana who blocked the I-10 bridge were probably correct in their decision. In order to protect themselves and their businesses they did what was necessary. Had they evacuated with the outflow of normal evacuees rather than the desperate rabble that chose not to evacuate until after the hurricane struck, the reception would have been very different.

The hurricane response was in no way the fault of the federal government; it was a response the federal government would have made to reasonable people who would take reasonable precautions for the welfare of themselves and their families when a category 5 hurricane approaches. When those precautions weren’t taken by the citizenry the efforts of the federal government seemed feeble.

Back to the original thought... The basic consideration for your fellow human beings is lacking in this group of people. The funeral intended to pay tribute to Coretta Scott King, and some people did, but more took the opportunity to lampoon the current administration. Mrs. King surely sat in heaven shaking her head and clucking her mouth at the behavior of her children.

They treat people who deserve respect with disdain and disrespect. They berate and ridicule them publicly. This isn’t (is not-makes it sound firmer) the kind of behavior I would tolerate in my children or my friends. It was shameful to observe this inexcusable behavior in leadership of any kind, but sadly I was not surprised when I saw it in the Democratic and Civil Rights leaders. Have we simply become more rude and boorish since the early days of the Civil Rights movement, when the Democratic Party could be expected to support America? If we have I can’t see it. There. That is my well - considered response to boorish behavior. Now I can rest.

"Valley of the Wolves Iraq"

Billy Zane and Gary Busey are wastes of flesh. I really don't think Busey is cognizant of what he is doing anymore. Whereas Zane is just an idiot.
With Busey, I think that all the drugs, the alcohol, the vehicular accidents, and doing his own stunts ( i.e. catching boulders with his head apparently) have seriously taken its toll. He is no longer a thinking human. Othewise how could someone stoop to such a low level as to portray a Mengele-like Jewish doctor for hate mongering Islamists. There is one other possibility to this betrayal...money. Hell maybe they paid him in Turkish opium. It certainly can't be his interest in parity and truth. The Turks, traditionally our ally seem to be sucking up this anti American, anti Semite tripe by pouring into theatres throughout the country to stoke thier belief that America and Israel are out to kill Muslims and use thier organs to fuel the need for replacments in wealthy clients. How else to explain the popularity of this movie?
At this time in our history how can ANYONE, let alone an American produce this kind of inciteful, anti progress, anti peace, anti human work of fiction. I don't know. I do know that they along with Harry Belefonte should be run out of America on a rail. Come to think of it maybe Hugo Chavez would like to have Zane and Busey for dinner with Mr. Belafonte and Ms. Sheehan to prove the old adage, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." As for the location of the Wolves....they are among us and they look like Americans. I believe the idiot quotient in the U.S. has reached critical mass. And these whores are the most visible tip of the iceberg.

Cheney Shooting

Harry Whittington must be a nice guy. I know Dick Cheney is a nice guy, having met him on numerous occasions while he was H.W. Bush’s SecDef. If he says he notified the local Corpus Christie newspaper instead of the Washington pool because he thought he’d get a better shake with the local media he was right. As evinced by the feeding frenzy of the media after the announcement of the accident. The most expeditious plan would be to let locals handle it, because I’m sure he was concerned with the health of his buddy and his buddy’s family. The media took a back seat to all other considerations as it should be. Or simply because of expediency that is his right. The major media outlets feel slighted and jealous because they think this is a huge story. It is not. It’s an unfortunate accident involving the Vice President of the United States and a hunting buddy. No subterfuge, no conspiracy, no smoking g……er. Well, maybe there is a smoking gun, but I’m of a mind that if Dick Cheney shot at something he was aiming for he would probably kill it. And who knows maybe he just couldn’t withstand the urge that we all have to shoot lawyers and yielded to the temptation. Even around the best lawyers I’d be looking for a way to knock one off. I give credit where credit is due. He only wounded where most would have killed. The Democrats are shrill in their screeching “cover up”. People, and I use the term loosely, (Democrats) are calling it misdirection, as if it was an intentional shooting to distract the nation from Iraq. These people are giving the run of the mill loony conspiracy theorists a bad name. And they think they have something to offer America next election season. Pah!

Monkey In the Mall

The Monkey is in the Mall.

They must honestly dream crap up to be mad about. While we are a willing market for their oil, the truth of that statement is quickly changing. The major nations of the world are frantically looking for ways to wean their countries from the dependence on oil. They market oil to us then tell us our presence there isn’t welcome. They want our military to help defend them but won’t protect us while there. Or once the immediate threat is over they want us out….NOW!
They want our technology but don’t want to have to talk or deal with us or Jews to get it. They come to us with one hand out and a knife in the other. They behave like animals and when called on it, they act more animal like. Cartoons for god’s sake!? We are not Muslim and as such are not bound by Muslim law. We in the democratic world have and value freedom of expression. The main cartoon in question shows a caricature of Mohammed with a turban that has a bomb in it or is turning into a bomb. I think this is a telling commentary on the believers of Islam. That their patriarch and founder would condone the use of bombs on innocents, and is justified in its depiction. The Muslims setting fires and killing people for the crime of illustration are hypocrites. There are numerous depictions and caricatures of the Prophet in England and the University of Tehran. And the ones that set fire and riot because some Muslim boys were killed for stupidity (hiding in a dangerous electricity power station) in France are hypocrites and stupid. Again we want all of the freedoms but none of the responsibilities of a democracy. At the drop of a hat they have and will put a picture Mohammed crushing a figure of Christ or a star of David in a newspaper. Or shout kill the crusaders, kill the infidels. While I’m for tolerance, it’s a two way street.
I for one think we should no longer have to put up with this hostile and childish behavior, from Iran, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, and the Pakistani people. I guess the fact is not lost on President Musharraf. After Pakistan exported its nuclear technology to Iran they felt responsible and to a point a little guilty for being such buffoons, akin to giving a hand grenade to a monkey and turning it loose in the mall. It must be one of the reasons why Musharraf is supporting the US in its war on terror, because the genie is out of the bottle so to speak. Or rather the monkey is in the mall.
Their intolerance is manifest in everything they do. From the imams who preach death to the infidels (uh, that’s you and me). To the insurgents who would rather blow up people of their own religion (notice I didn’t say sect) just to make sure America fails.
Oh yeah the Sunni Shiite thing is simply a turf war. Who is or was in charge after Mohammed died. This is highly elucidatory of the kind of people who flock to Islam. Such warlike posturing and infantile behavior, is the norm of people who will not be drug into modern society. The intolerance I’ve had a tough time with. I can understand not wanting to have lewd and poor behavior broadcast via TV, radio and the internet to your children, which occurs in the US and worldwide. The way to do this is through nonviolent means. I.e. boycotts, demonstrations (nonviolent), editorials not calling for destruction but change. I know sometimes I am viewed as a hypocrite because I condone the killing of despots and tyrants. But, some people need killing. And I’m not squeamish about my choices. But, religious persecution simply because you believe in God differently or choose to deny God altogether? The thought is abhorrent to any civilized person. Which I think comes to the crux of the problem. I believe in God and respect your right not to. I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. And will do everything I can to help you get to heaven. They are not civilized nor do they want to become civilized. They want everything right now and they want it their way. The election of a Hamas controlled government by the majority of the so called Palestinians (which are in fact Western Egyptian or Jordanian), is a wake up call. They refuse to be governed by any but their own corrupt brand of government, and have sworn to kill all Israeli’s, because they want Jerusalem as their capital and all of Israel. And they have the means to get it if we falter in our resolve. Palestinian mothers breed homicide bombers at a rate greater than Israelis can kill them. Iran is supplying them with zealous fervor, money and the bombs to strap to their chests. Encouraging mothers to send their sons and daughters to their deaths then paying them for their contribution of a smart bomb to the cause. Ahmadinejad is that monkey in the mall and needs to caged and disarmed. The young people of Iran need also to stand up and fight back against indoctrination and persecution, with America’s support. Because the support certainly won’t come from the European Union or the United Nations.
